Founded by Brett Pack in 2007 as a sole operator, Top Bookkeepers grew steadily over nearly two decades — reaching 10 Australian employees by 2020. In 2024, it joined forces with MNC Accounting Services, led by Peter Muscat, adding deeper accounting, financial control and advisory capability. Today, that combined expertise has become Fractional Finance Team: 25 Australian-based finance and accounting professionals providing an end-to-end fractional finance and accounting service.

Brett founded Top Bookkeepers in 2007. An entrepreneur at heart, he enjoys working with business owners and helping them feel confident about the direction they’re taking.

For Brett, that means making finance useful in everyday business life: sharing information owners can act on, lending a hand with the work that needs doing, and finding tools that make things run more efficiently.

That practical, personal approach is part of the foundation of Fractional Finance Team today.

Industry experience.
A focus on smaller businesses.

After many years working in industry, Peter shifted his focus to small and medium businesses. He founded MNC Accounting Services to bring that experience to owners who needed financial guidance and support.

Through MNC, Peter provided senior financial guidance, financial control and business advisory, helping clients draw on experience they might not have within their own team.

In 2024, MNC Accounting Services merged with Top Bookkeepers, bringing Peter’s experience and Brett’s established business together.
